Composed whilst working in Islamabad, Pakistan, Give It Away has Pete reminiscing over his life .....friends and love gained and lost.
Written by Pete during a 3 month stay in Pakistan during mid summer 2007, 'Give It Away' takes the listener on a journey of reminiscing about the various people who have passed through one's life and the differing degree of impression they make on you. Not really a ballad, the song has some 'singing around the campfire' qualities. The heavy intro riff which features throughout the song and very tasteful brass lines have made it a 'live' favorite on the band's tours. The clip was filmed in Shanghai during the band's "3 Steps Closer" tour of China and features guitarist, John Mulholland and local Shanghai resident, Miao Miao Song in the lead roles.
