The PlanB boys are once again packing their bags and heading off on what promises to be another electrifying musical adventure. They are leaving Australian shores and travelling half-way around the world to present the 2018 “Back2UK” tour to their expectant British fans. The tour will see the inclusion of all the songs currently slated for release on the band’s much-awaited upcoming third studio album, as well as the classic numbers that have been staples of the live act for years.
It’s Scotland’s turn first. PlanB will showcase their big, brassy original sound in a series of shows across Caledonian climes, with the tour officially kicking off in Prestwick on 9 August. Aberdeen, Inverness, Paisley and Perth are also in store for some PlanB magic.
The band will also return to the north-east of England where they will reunite with Mr Scurf’s Koast Train for a pulsating live-to-air radio performance, as well as appearing at Northumberland’s Coquetfest on 18 August. The boys will be sharing the festival bill with musical collaborator and friend ‘Big’ Jim Paterson (Dexys Midnight Runners) and his band Urang Matang. Unmissable!
After the last north-east show in Blyth, the band heads to London – the final hub of the tour – as PlanB signs-off in style with some big shows, including a return to Leytonstone’s cracking venue Luna, two Sunday performances at The Anchor and The New Inn in Kent, and a final show at the legendary Fiddler’s Elbow on Bank Holiday Monday.
Don’t miss your chance to embrace the irresistible and infectious sounds of Australia’s premier rock ‘n’ soul ensemble.
